Today, the City of Oakland Park is a thriving inland South Florida community. The unconventional 8-square-mile Broward City is attracting young and diverse residents, ambitious entrepreneurs, and a stream of development initiatives. But, that wasn’t always the case.
Oakland Park faced serious infrastructure challenges in the 1990s that nearly resulted in bankruptcy. The City has spent the new millennium rebuilding, reinvesting, and redeveloping…and its paying off!
