The University of Michigan Transplant Center Liver Program is a pioneer in its field. Having done more than 2,000 liver transplants, the team uses its experience and expertise to train other transplant surgeons and transplant hepatologists. The program pushes the envelope when it comes to increasing the donor pool through donation after cardiac death and core positive livers. The University of Michigan Transplant Center is very proud of its multi-disciplinary approach that brings together doctors, nurses, managers, and social workers to focus on the best care for its patients.
