FoldScope: ASCB TV was honored to interview the man behind a device that has worldwide implications – the FoldScope. The FoldScope is an origami-based print-and-fold optical microscope that can be assembled from a flat sheet of paper. Although it costs less than $1 to make, it can provide 2000x magnification with sub-micron resolution.
