Breakthrough in sedation
Primex International
The new state of the art Amiens-Picardie University Teaching Hospital, France, opened less than 18 months ago, with a unique design of the hospital with operating theatres at the centre and ICU and recovery rooms surrounding the theatres. The hospital has a pediatric anesthesia unit, with dedicated Pediatric anesthetists, nursing staff and pre and post-recovery room for children.
The pediatric anesthesia unit focus on good pediatric sedation and use OZALINE, a new novel oral sedative for pre-meds in 85% of all children’s surgeries to reduce anxiety and reduce post-operative complications as well as using the sedative in diagnostic procedures. OZALINE is developed and produced by the hospital’s on-site compounding pharmacy. Now Primex International, a global pharmaceutical company specialising in anaesthesia, is seeking a European Union license for OZALINE to become the first ever licensed paediatric sedative in the EU and plans to manufacture and market the sedative globally.
