Biophysical Society TV in partnership with The Biophysical Society debuted at the 2014 annual meeting in San Fransisco.
Along with highlights from the event and interviews with key speakers, we produced films for organizations working in the field of biophysics highlighting the great work that is being done both nationally and internationally.
The research of the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology at Washington University in St. Louis on biophysical studies of single protein molecules, led to understanding that certain types of diabetes had been misdiagnosed for years, and they now can be easily treated. Also, the Department focuses on biophysical discoveries about the regulation of glucagon, which are leading to potential new treatments of diabetes
