At Southern Methodist University’s Bobby B. Lyle School of Engineering, they’re taking a new approach at success, one through failure. At the Lyle school they encourage their students to try and fail in order to learn from their mistakes. They have a special dedicated facility called the Innovation Gymnasium in which students can go to build and work on real engineering challenges without worrying about grades.
