In just five years, researchers at The Center for Health Promotion & Prevention Research have conducted 170 research projects, which have contributed to healthier lives and healthier communities locally, nationally and internationally. CHPPR draws from interdisciplinary expertise in behavioral science, epidemiology, statistics and economics — with all groups focused on reducing health disparities. Many of those health disparities are evident on the streets of Houston, Texas, home to CHPPR and UT’s School of Public Health.
